On December 19, the finals of Xi’an Interpretation and Translation College Counselor Quality and Ability Competition were held at the West District Experiential Teaching Center. The Counselor Quality and Ability Competition aims to comprehensively improve the quality and ability of counselors in our school and promote the improvement of the quality of ideological and political education for college students in our school. According to the arrangement of the competition, the Ministry of Education and Engineering has organized preliminary group competitions in eight secondary colleges from December 5th to December 14th, and selected a total of 12 contestants to advance to the school-level preliminary competitions.
At the finals, the six contestants drew questions on the spot, gave lectures within a limited time based on the designated theme, and had heart-to-heart conversations with students in a reenactment of the scene. Both of these links perfectly demonstrated the tutoring in our school. The counselors’ strong language expression ability, logical thinking level, communication skills and grasp of policy and theoretical knowledge, as well as the counselors’ good professional style, serious work status and solid basic skills.
In the end, Zhang Zeyan won the first prize in the competition, Han Wei and Chen Xiaonan won the second prize in the competition, and Deng Chen, Tong Foguang and Yu Le won the third prize in the competition.
Zhang Jinbo, Director of the Academic and Engineering Department of Xi’an Conservatory of Music, made comments on behalf of the judging panel. She fully affirmed the good professionalism and theoretical skills of the counselors in the competition, and put forward corresponding opinions and suggestions based on the detailed issues that the counselors encountered during the competition.
On behalf of the school, Zhang Heng expressed his gratitude to all staff and counselors for their hard work over the past year.
